V.W. Van Gogh - Complete

Back Home Next

Ok, finally... Sarge, Hugo and many friends have recorded new material.   Again, there are no vocal harmonizer machines, or sequencers. Just real players, doing the best job possible, creating our original songs.

Maybe we will call these "The Return of V.W. Van Gogh - The beginning is not the end"

new 8-09 What IF? (Stransky/Taylor) Another catchy tune, it's going to stick with you...  a little more serious this time, powerful background great guitars by Vlad and Hugo.

new 9-09  King of the World - (Stransky/Taylor)  - Here's a light-hearted, love song... heavy in the melody and harmony modes.  Sweet alto solo by Chadd Berry.   Just Flowin'!

new 8-09 Children (Stransky/Taylor)  - This is one of Hugo and my serious "message" songs.  The "Stop the cycle" message is a real issue.  Sitars, Tablas, gong... the works.  Parents please listen to this one.

new 7-09 More Caring - (Stransky/Taylor)  -  Catchy tune,  a taste of 60's feel...  notice Sarges accordion:  "play an accordion, go to jail"... no longer applies!  Just remixed 4-2010

new 9-09 Whats right Whats Wrong - (Stransky/Taylor) Another catchy tune, anybody see were their 401k profits went?  a little more serious theme this time.  All the vocals are real and song by human beings... tasty guitars by Vlad and Hugo.

new 8-09 Sunday Song - (Stransky/Taylor)  -  Although it's set in a minor key, the song is happy and poppy. A  happy alternative look at life.  Great headphone music, hidden Mellotron, acoustic mandolin,

new 9-09  Best of Times - (Stransky/Taylor)  - Our heaviest song of all the V.W. recordings.  Huge 60's feel, those were the best of times.  I could not have make this song work 40 years ago, the technology of keyboards just wasn't good enough yet. Trippin' drums from SteLee and great guitars from Vlad and Hugo!

V.W. Bonus Tracks

Here's Two bonus tracks that came a little after the V.W. Van Gogh 1st E.P was finished.  If i remember right, it's just Hugo and I doing all the parts, both songs were for a Christmas bonus to add to our original E.P.   circa 1996

new!  Bottle of Wine (Stransky)  Here's  a fun one i wrote back in the late 1970's and didn't record until the late 90's.  Thanks to Hugo's input, it's far more contemporary now.

new!  Christmas All Year (Stransky, Taylor)  This one was written specifically as a Christmas Carol, V.W. Van Gogh style. We went "Baroque" recording this one and ended up hungry and with coal in our stockings!
