I had written enough material for a 2nd "Strange Syrkus" album, but alas, it was never to meant to be, so i put the master on the shelf for that one and labeled it "Leftovers". This seems like a good place to let a few of those songs see the light of day. The ones here are actually some of my favorite "Sarge" compositions. Juliet (Stransky/Taylor) One of my most ambitious songs ever. I play the part of the story teller on this song. Together by the Sea (Stransky/Taylor) Again the story teller. It's a Waltz tempo and may be the best story i've done to date. (The saga of) Freddy and Betty (Stransky/Taylor) And again the story teller. Here is the most fun story to date. The Lonely One (Stransky) For years i thought it just wasn't good enough for Roy, but i have since decided that it is good enough for me and i think that Roy would have smiled if he had heard it.. Seasons (Stransky/Taylor) Another study in life's stories. Drive Me Crazy (Stransky) A fun work product, there was no actual girl driving me crazy, just a fun tune. Modern Man ((Stransky/Taylor) Here I pose the question... World Problems (Stransky/Taylor) Again, i am wondering "What if" I know the Heartache (Stransky/Taylor) A classic Heartache of Love song Somewhere out there (Stransky/Taylor) Lies the truth. Unconditional Love (Stransky) says it all. Choices (Stransky/Taylor) 1998 Maturity (Stransky) - From an album that never happened, i was going to call Requiem for an Altruist... 14 years later Maturity is really bugging me! Wasteful Fires (Stransky) - This is pretty old, but i can't remember when i wrote it. Definite "Byrds" influence. Figures of Authority (Stransky) A good try at the hard rockin' story song. Nice guitar solo by Mark Black!
